Autumn Davis MBA ’19, Breanne Davis ’16, OT ’19, and Carmel Nichol ’16, MSW ’17 completed a family triple play when Breanne was awarded her doctorate in occupational therapy. She was the third triplet in the family to earn a �鶹ֱ�� degree from Pacific.

Back in the late 19th century, when �鶹ֱ�� was an outpost of higher education in the Pacific Northwest, the school took part in an ignoble American experiment. With Pacific’s support, the Forest Grove Indian Training School brought Native American children to a nearby campus, where they were forced to abandon tribal culture in favor of learning the skills and religion of the dominant white society. Some didn't survive the transition.

Participating in under�鶹ֱ�� research at Pacific gave Opfer the chance to dive deeper into real-life applications of his studies.

Aurea and Leslie Lomeli each earned a bachelor of education in teaching and English language learning after studying side by side at Pacific.

Irene Catalan PharmD '15 is an inpatient pharmacist at Providence Medford Medical Center, specializing in pharmaceutical care for cardiovascular patients.

Naihe, who �鶹ֱ��d from �鶹ֱ�� on May 18 with a bachelor’s degree in art design, worked feverishly to make sure that his senior capstone project at Pacific was perfect. 

A creative writing major, Roth has tackled difficult subjects in her original works. “I hope that it opens up people’s minds and I hope that it makes people laugh,” said Roth, who says she employs “dark humor” to deal with sensitive subjects.

Keilian MacCulloch '19 fell in love with chemistry at �鶹ֱ��. After conducting research in the lab, he hopes to earn a PhD and spend his career in chemistry.

Pacific senior Tessa Nelson '19 is the 2018-19 recipient of the LGBTQ+ Coral Scholarship.

Alumna Fallon Harris '14 created the nonprofit Eden Acres, promoting environmental literacy for all learners of all ages. The organization is partnered with area schools, public agencies, and businesses, offering outdoor classes and sustainability activities for youth.

After Bernard Brown '49, OD '50 earned a Purple Heart and his way home from the European Theater in World War II, he pursued a lifelong career in optometry with a degree from �鶹ֱ��. Later, he helped other veterans follow him into the profession.
