āI knew who Casey White was before I met him.ā
During freshman year, Casey and his friend, Brian Wade ā97, were often eating in the UC when Jennifer and her friends were there.
āThey were hard to miss with long hair, long goatees and muscles. In fact, if not for those muscles we may not have noticed them as much. But donāt get me wrong, it wasnāt that I was attracted to Caseyās muscles; it was that those strong legs literally moved the Earth for me,ā said Jennifer.
Casey and Brian had a compulsive need to shake their legs and that force āseriously shook the floor of the UC.ā Jennifer and her friends first noticed the water in their glasses moving. Then they realized they could feel a vibration. It took them weeks of trial and error before they realized it was āthose two guys.ā
During sophomore year, Casey and Jennifer were introduced by Liz Edwards ā96, Jenniferās old roommate and Caseyās co-RA in Clark where Jennifer lived. Soon they were dating and three days after Jennifer Ā鶹ֱ²„d, they were married in Old College Hall and held their reception in the Milky Way.
Casey and Jennifer visited from Texas in 2008 and stopped by campus the day after their sonās first birthday.
āIt meant a lot to us to take Jonah to all the places on campus that meant something to us and we look forward to returning with him as he gets older.ā
Casey and Jennifer will celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary this May after over 20 years of being together.
