Join staff from the Student Counseling Center and be trained in Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), a nationally recognized suicide prevention training. This empirically-validated training will equip you to recognize the warning signs, clues, and suicidal communication of people at risk as well as gain the skills to act and help save a life.
Pacific's annual Spirit of Civic Engagement Summit is back! The 2026 event will take place on Saturday, March 7 and attendees will be able to choose a track (Collective Imagination, Practical Peace, Radical Empathy) or mix-and-match sessions. Tatiana Piatanova has been at Pacific for over 10 years. Her work as a Sr. Instructional Designer involves working with both staff and faculty, which creates a well-rounded perspective. This is her 3rd term with Staff Senate. When you don't see her working, she is probably on the trails exploring the Pacific Northwest with her furry companion.
